Driving America Forward: How Ruslan Junussov Is Building a Thriving Business—One Truck at a Time

In a challenging industry often plagued by high turnover and driver shortages, immigrant entrepreneur Ruslan Junussov has steadily grown a successful trucking company from the ground up through discipline, strategic vision, and relentless drive.

Meet Ruslan Junussov, founder and president of KZ Inter Company, a steadily expanding logistics and trucking business based in Bartlett, Illinois. Since launching in 2020, Junussov has demonstrated consistent growth—expanding the company’s fleet, creating jobs, and delivering reliable freight services across the country, including contracts with major clients like Amazon.

Junussov’s journey began long before entrepreneurship. After moving to the U.S. in 2013, he started out behind the wheel as a company truck driver. His firsthand understanding of the day-to-day realities of trucking laid the groundwork for what would become a long-term business vision rooted in operational excellence and team support. By 2020, he transitioned from driver to business owner, securing his own motor carrier authority and building a company with a strong focus on growth and reliability.

“I built this business the hard way—by doing the work myself and learning from experience,” Junussov says. “Every challenge helped prepare me to lead.”

A Steady Path of Growth

Under Ruslan’s leadership, KZ Inter Company has grown at a notable pace, increasing gross revenue from $1.2 million in 2023 to a projected $4.2 million in 2024. The company currently operates over 20 trucks, with a five-year plan to potentially scale its fleet to over 90 vehicles. It is also working toward creating more than 90 new driving jobs, as well as several in-house roles in dispatch, management, and fleet maintenance.

Even amid nationwide labor shortages and economic uncertainty, Junussov has shown that consistent effort, financial discipline, and smart hiring can contribute to turning a small company into a more robust logistics operation.

With a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and Jurisprudence, and certificates in Business Management and Supply Chain Logistics, Junussov brings a diverse understanding of infrastructure, compliance, and operational management to the table. But it’s his business acumen and leadership—honed over years of hands-on experience—that help distinguish him.

Leading Through Commitment, Not Just Words

While many in the industry face challenges with employee retention, Junussov has fostered a culture that supports and values drivers. He offers competitive compensation, takes a hands-on role in recruitment and training, and ensures that drivers are recognized as more than just numbers—but as the foundation of the business. This people-first approach has contributed to KZ Inter Company retaining talent more effectively than many competitors, even as some face turnover rates as high as 95%.

Beyond day-to-day operations, Junussov has demonstrated strategic scalability. The company’s five-year plan includes expanding into underserved economic regions, investing in maintenance infrastructure, and aiming to become a key employer in communities that need it most. This focus on job creation and regional development aligns with national priorities and reflects his commitment to making a positive impact—both economically and socially.

Building a Business with Staying Power

What makes Junussov stand out isn’t just his ambition—but his ability to execute with consistency. He has secured contracts, navigated complex DOT regulations, maintained profitable operations, and built a well-regarded brand in a crowded field. His financial track record—reflected in the company’s significant revenue growth—suggests strong leadership, sustainable strategy, and a deep understanding of the industry.

For Junussov, logistics isn’t just about moving freight—it’s about building something durable, stable, and meaningful.

“We’re not just running a trucking company,” Junussov says. “We’re building opportunity—for our drivers, our families, and the communities we serve.”
