BIRMINGHAM, Mich. — March 2025 — Cooper Street, the Michigan-based bakery known for its better-for-you snacks, has secured full-time distribution at Giant Eagle, a large supermarket chain in the Northeast and Midwest. Starting March 15, Cooper Street’s popular Granola Bakes will be available in Giant Eagle locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana, giving more shoppers access to the brand’s signature twice-baked treats.
To celebrate this new partnership, Cooper Street will launch a special promotional campaign featuring large dump bin displays packed with individually packaged Granola Bakes and Twice Baked Cookies, priced at two for $1. This limited-time offer aims to introduce new customers to the brand while rewarding existing fans with an unbeatable deal.
The addition of Cooper Street’s Granola Bakes to Giant Eagle’s bakery section represents a significant milestone for the family-owned company. Founded in 2011 by Elaine Surnow and her sons, Max and Sam, Cooper Street has built a loyal following with its allergen-friendly snacks made from real fruit and free from peanuts, dairy, soy, trans fats, and artificial ingredients. Granola Bakes have become a customer favorite for their soft, chewy texture and balanced sweetness, making them a satisfying and convenient snack.
As part of the launch, Cooper Street will also feature limited-edition products in the promotional bins, including the brand’s popular Banana Bread. This strategy is designed to generate excitement and encourage trial among shoppers who may be discovering Cooper Street products for the first time.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Giant Eagle to make our Granola Bakes more accessible to customers across five states,” said Max Surnow, Co-Owner of Cooper Street. “This promotion gives us a unique opportunity to introduce our snacks to a wider audience and let people experience the quality and taste that set Cooper Street apart.”
Giant Eagle, with over 470 locations and a reputation for offering high-quality products, provides Cooper Street with a strong platform for expansion.
The promotional campaign is designed to maximize visibility and engagement. The eye-catching dump bin displays will be placed in high-traffic areas within Giant Eagle stores, encouraging impulse purchases and product sampling. Cooper Street anticipates that once customers try the discounted bars and cookies, they’ll be motivated to seek out the full-sized versions available year-round.
The two-for-$1 promotion will run for a limited time beginning March 15, 2025. Shoppers are encouraged to visit their local Giant Eagle store early to take advantage of this special offer.
