At just 18 years old, Robert Michaelis is already gaining recognition in business, media, and publishing. Near Hamburg, Germany, Michaelis has built an impressive portfolio of accomplishments, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to fostering meaningful social conversations. From founding startups to managing media productions and preserving his family’s history, Michaelis is a young innovator striving to create positive change.

A Young Entrepreneur: The Birth of Gloosy

At 17, Michaelis founded Gloosy, an innovative platform connecting brands with user-generated content (UGC) creators. Recognizing the gap in the market, he aimed to develop a space specifically tailored to the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), helping local brands and creators collaborate effectively.

Gloosy aims to facilitate meaningful connections between brands and creators, fostering innovation and growth. Unlike many existing platforms that focus predominantly on the American market, Gloosy provides a unique, regionally adapted service. Michaelis has developed a platform to help digital marketing strategies in German-speaking countries by bridging the gap between businesses and UGC creators.

A Family Legacy: Publishing His Great-Grandfather’s Story

Beyond his business ventures, Michaelis has also played a significant role in preserving his family’s history. In July 2023, he helped facilitate the publication of The Price of Life, a memoir by his great-grandfather Abram Molodetsky.

This powerful book recounts Molodetsky’s harrowing journey as a young Jewish boy during World War II. From his early childhood in Odessa, Ukraine, to his struggle for survival during the Holocaust, the story captures the resilience and determination of a boy facing unimaginable horrors. The book serves as both a historical testament and an emotional narrative of survival, helping future generations learn about past tragedies.

Molodetsky’s remarkable life continued well beyond the war, and he eventually passed away in 2021 in Kiryat-Ata, Israel, just two years before his 100th birthday. Thanks to Michaelis’ efforts, The Price of Life is now available in multiple languages, allowing readers worldwide to connect with this profoundly moving story.

Building a Media Venture: Michaelis Productions

Michaelis’ ambition does not stop at business and publishing. In 2024, he launched Michaelis Productions, a media company producing thought-provoking and eye-opening documentaries. The goal of this initiative is clear: to provide people with a platform to share their stories and offer insight into the realities faced by individuals in different countries.

Through in-depth interviews with first-source personalities, Michaelis Productions aims to challenge perspectives, inspire audiences, and explore the complexities of global events. By presenting diverse viewpoints, the company seeks to give viewers a deeper understanding of important issues. Content is produced in German and English, enabling a broad international reach.

Michaelis Productions also offers professional documentary creation services for individuals and organizations looking to share their stories. Whether covering pressing social issues, personal journeys, or historical accounts, the company is committed to helping deliver storytelling and high-quality production.

Looking to the Future: More Books and Expanding Influence

As if managing a startup and a media company were not enough, Michaelis is currently working on publishing another book, this time about his older great-grandfather. While details about this upcoming project remain undisclosed, it is expected to follow in the footsteps of The Price of Life, preserving yet another valuable piece of history.

Michaelis is actively involved in business and media, focusing on creating platforms that engage, inform, and encourage innovation. Through Gloosy, Michaelis Productions, and his publishing efforts, he continues to develop new opportunities and projects.
